London Reyes was born and raised in the South Bronx and has been a Yonkers resident for the last twenty-five years. He began his career as B-boy London, a member of The New York City Breakers in the early 1980’s. As a member of this acclaimed dance group, Reyes was featured in the Cleveland’s “Rock and Roll Hall of Fame” and the “Brooklyn Museum of Art.” At the peak of his entertainment career, Reyes travelled the world performing with celebrities like Wyclef, LL Cool J, the Beastie Boys, and Run DMC. Reyes is also known for his television success as a television personality, Reyes was the founder of “Freestyle Fridays,” as seen on Metro Channel and BET’s “106 & Park.” Reyes also debuted in the movies “The Last Dragon” and “Krush Groove.” In 2005, Reyes formed the AAA All-Star Program, a 501(c)3 non for profit organization that allows youth to reach their full potential through academics, athletics and the arts. In 2006, Reyes was awarded a proclamation from Yonkers Mayor Phil Amicone for his dedication and commitment to the youth. In 2007, the Yonkers City Council awarded Reyes the “Ossie Davis Award” which recognized him as being an outstanding member of the community. Reyes was also a former board member of the Yonkers Puerto Rican/Hispanic Day Parade and is a current board member of the Salvation Army. Reyes is the current Director of Entertainment for Nike Pro City Basketball League, a position he has held for the last 14 years. Reyes is also the Girls’ Varsity basketball coach at Portchester High School. Reyes attended John F. Kennedy high school in the Bronx and studied at SUNY Purchase where he met his wife Laura Reyes. Mrs. Reyes is a dedicated Yonkers music teacher of nearly twenty years. They have two sons who were educated in the Yonkers Public School system. Both graduated with honors from prestigious colleges.
